Optimal put away

An order to put away is created based on the items receipt. During the put away process an optimal place to put away the items is suggested. On the order to put away form it is clearly given where the items need to be stored. Every item and every warehouse can have set different way of put away based on several pre-defined templates. The strength of BIZ4Warehousing lays in the possibility to use (apart from standard static warehouse where every item has its fixed place) so called dynamic warehouse.

If the dynamic warehouse is used the item does not have its fixed place in the warehouse and is put away based on free warehouse capacity, dimensions, weight, distance from dispatch location and turnover ratio to the most optimal place in the warehouse. If the item overlaps the palette place by more than one or two positions (see Receipt) it is automatically suggested to best place in the warehouse where there are two or three free adjacent palette places available. Places that are taken by this oversized palette are automatically blocked and released only upon total vacancy. If it is necessary the receipt dispatcher can manually choose a place where the item will be stored.
