Data warehouse

Microsoft Dynamics NAV has its own data warehouse which allows to analyze general ledger data and warehouse transactions using Dimensions. A dimension is any parameter (cost center, sales person, area, product type, etc.) which can be assigned to any transaction in the system. Data provided with dimensions may be viewed from various user views. It is easy to e.g. analyze cost center performance and product group sales by time periods and areas etc. Tools to view such results can be found directly in the information system or the data may be exported to MS Excel and worked with in a pivot table.
